Supplement after suspected pregnancy

I have irregular period since a few years after marriage..im not getting my period for almost 2 month now and i have tested positive with UPT..i want to have a baby, so i went to see a doctor for ultrasound but could not see anything so the doctor prescribed me with progesterone treatment called Duphaston. I'm not sure why do i need to take this supplement?? I don't feel good after taking it. it makes me very nauseous and i always feel like vomiting after meal
